Sundays are Family Days

When I was a child I knew on Sundays my parents would get my sister, brother and me up. They would help us pick out outfits and then we would go outside and wait for the Church Bus. Once it arrived we would be taken to Sunday School and Church.

After Church the bus would bring us back home. Most of the time the bus drivers would have a treat for us. I miss being able to take a bus to Church. If there was one still running Charlie would be able to go to Church. I could even take the bus with Charlie.

David works late and we don’t have a way. But there is no reason we still can’t honor the Lord and learn about Jesus not only on Sunday but ever day of the week. Which is why we will be starting a Homeschool Bible Study in our classroom.

For Charlie to have a part of my childhood I will be reinstating Sunday’s as Family Day. We will not be on the computer or Video Games. We will sit down as a Family and have a home cooked meal. Then we will watch a movie or play a Board Game.

Or get outside and walk through the neighborhood. Or I can see Charlie and I playing Basketball or Soccer. With David working Charlie and I can invite friends over for a Movie Night or Game Night because even though Covid-19 is still happening we can Social Distance and spend time together. Would you like to join us?

For dinner this week Charlie and I plan on making Pork Chops on the George Foreman Grill I purchased for myself this week. With Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans. No, this isn’t my mom’s Meat Loaf or my dad’s Fried Chicken but it’s what I wanted and the perfect meal for Charlie and I. As we begin our new family tradition of reinstating Sunday’s as Family Fun day.
