The Cornerstone Challenge: Day 1 Day One: Content that Inspires: Our Inheritance
When we decided to revive this blog I wasn’t sure what I wanted to blog about and why. Then as I talked to Elle Emme and David I knew it was something I could do. I can use it along with my other site TheMommiesReviews.com to educate others.
When it came time for The Cornerstone Challenge I knew I wanted to join with my other site but then as I thought about I also knew I wanted to join with this site. I was PRAYING and believing Charlie and David might join me on here.
Which hasn’t happened as of yet but its okay as it wasn’t the LORDS will and I will not push I will just wait and see what happens as we begin to Homeschool Charlie full time. In the meantime I would like to welcome you to The Cornerstone Challenge: Day 1 Day One: Content that Inspires: Our Inheritance.
I don’t think I ever took the time to thank my father for the inheritance he left for my sister, brother and I. As we begin a new month and things haven’t returned to normal I wanted to say how blessed I am. I was able to go to the bank this morning and pull out enough money to help David catch up on bills.
I was able to purchase a Scooter for Charlie to use in our Homeschool PE Class. I took us out to breakfast and still have more than enough to pay a down payment on a home for my family, I wouldn’t have been able to do this without my dad and I know that more than ever.
I was working on content for The Cornerstone Challenge I signed up for and we was asked to share content that inspires I wanted to remind everyone tomorrow isn’t promised. Make sure you prepare for tomorrow and that you take care of the ones you love like my dad did.
I just wish you had the opportunity to have meet my parents before they passed away. My mom was just as good a person and as my dad was. Just in different ways but they both loved there children and would do anything to make sure we were taken care of.
As a child I even saw my dad crawl into work on his hands and knees when his Gout was acting up so his children would have the things they needed not wanted. He started his own business which was both a success and a failure as Typewriters went out of business. But that never caused my dad to give up.
I thought losing my wife right before they was married for 50 years would be the death of my dad. But it wasn’t and we was blessed to have him for another 7 years and I am so grateful the Lord let us have him as long as we did. I just wish he was still here as Charlie misses both my parents more than I do which is hard to believe.
